Our Chesapeake Bay story:
Did you know that there is a place where wild horses still run free? That place is Chincoteague, VA. I was adamant when my oldest daughter was just 1 1/2 years old that we take her there so she could see the horses. We crossed the Bay Bridge and took in all of the glory of Chesapeake Bay. Had I been thinking clearly, I may have realized that she would not remember that trip as she got older.
This carved wooden map of Chesapeake Bay and the surrounding terrain, shown in Maple, features the location title and blue epoxy highlighting the water feature. Lines indicating the surrounding state boundaries are also included.
Whether you're commemorating a special place, first date, memorable vacation, or landscape you love, this unique keepsake is also an excellent gift.
Each map combines modern technology with one of the world’s oldest traditions–carving with wood. We use sustainably sourced wood to enhance a sense of place, connecting you with the landscapes you love and bringing a piece of nature into your home. The use of high-quality wood with natural oil finish ensures your piece will last a lifetime and retain the natural beauty of the wood grain.
