Interesting fact: Kaua'i has a palm tree building code. In all the towns on Kauai, you will start to notice something. There are no skyscrapers or condo towers on the island. Wondering why the Kauai Beach Resort condo rentals and other buildings on the island are shorter? There is actually a building code that states no structure can be taller than a coconut palm tree. Hence buildings are limited to being four stories tall.
