Our New York story:

We enjoy living in a quiet rural suburb of northern Virginia, but also love the cultural options available in big cities. There is no bigger draw for my family than New York. It seems that we rarely miss a year of taking the train to New York City to explore the city. Whether it is museums, shows, or just hanging out in Times Square, we always find something new and interesting with every trip. My wife loves Niagara Falls and has been there more times than she can count. I don't travel to many places more than once, but the state of New York has not lost its appeal yet!

This carved wooden map of New York shown here in Cherry features the state name, state motto, area in square miles, year of statehood, and geographic center coordinates.

Whether you're commemorating a special place, first date, memorable vacation, or landscape you love, this unique keepsake is also an excellent gift.

Each map combines modern technology with one of the world’s oldest traditions–carving with wood. We use sustainably sourced wood to enhance a sense of place, connecting you with the landscapes you love and bringing a piece of nature into your home. The use of high-quality wood with natural oil finish ensures your piece will last a lifetime and retain the natural beauty of the wood grain. Let Compass Map Company carve your memories into every slope, ridge, and valley!

Place it on a desk or table or hang your carving on any wall! Rear keyhole fits almost all common nails and screws.

Due to the handmade nature of our wood products, each is unique and will vary.

Made in Hamilton, VA, USA.

Compass Map Company uses satellite mapping and precision carving to turn the landscapes you love into detailed 3D wood models. Let Compass Map Company carve your memories into every slope, ridge, and valley!
