Our Outer Banks story: My wife and I took the kids on a road trip to the Outer Banks the summer after my oldest daughter graduated from high school. We were all well aware that this was the last family trip before our daughter headed off to college. The beaches had people on them, but were not crowded. We got up early to watch the sun rise, spent days at the beach swimming,  and stayed up late to watch the sun set. We ate ice cream every day (sometimes twice!). We cherish that road trip and are so grateful for the time spent with our family.
