Our West Virginia story:
During COVID we stayed home for many months like a lot of other families across the world. We had some anxiety about the unknown, but we were also going stir crazy. My wife decided that we needed to get away and booked us a trip to a state park in West Viriginia in the fall. We stayed in a cabin in the park and even brought our two large dogs. It was amazing to get out of the house and on the road to somewhere new. It was so amazing that we did it again in the winter, again with the dogs, this time to stay in a cabin near a ski resort where my kids both tried skiing for the first time. West Virginia will always remind us of those times when our family was able to take a breather from life and share a special closeness with each other and nature. NOTE: We have not taken our dogs with us on a trip since then. Turns out they like vacations from us and we from them!
